The Great White Shark

 

Hand-carved 1:1 scale of a 15ft Great White Shark breaching the ocean. Raising awareness for the shark fin trade and marine conservation.

Medium: Quartzite. Stone sourced as a 9 metric ton boulder from an abandoned goldmine in central NSW. Veins with in the stone are precursors to gold deposits and ancient marine fossils.

Dimensions: 2200mm long, 1500mm wide, 1850mm high

Weight: 5500kg

Status: Show piece only. Currently on show at Australian Native Landscapes, Terrey Hills.
